"Storm's Maine Vacation" is another true story about the stray mixed Rhodesian Ridgeback that came to live at the Author's home in Manassas, VA during a blizzard in February 2003.  It tells the story about Storm vacationing in the Author's home town in Maine. The pictures in this book are of actual places in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and other places in Maine.   The Author's first two books "College Cat" and "The Princess and Storm" follow the life of his cat, Princess, before and after Storm came to live at his home.

College Cat is a heart warming and true story about a kitten brought to the College of William & Mary at eight weeks of age by one of the students. The story follows the life of the kitten from the time it was taken from its mother and siblings through the first year of her life.

“I was scared. I had never been away from my mother and our nice, warm, safe house. What would become of me? Who would feed me without my mother around? Who would I play with and who would teach me new things?”

The sequel to "College Cat"; "The Princess and Storm" was published

March 3, 2009.

The Princess and Storm is a true story based on a stray mixed Rhodesian Ridgeback coming to live at the home of Princess, “College Cat”, after she had been the only pet in the house for six years. All pictures in the book are actual photos of Princess, Storm, the wildlife and the surroundings at their home.
“Six years after being a “College Cat”, I am now just called Princess and still living at the Garry’s home. It is my home now and I feel very much a part of the family. I enjoy being spoiled and pampered. I love the daily brushings Dad gives me and still enjoy sleeping with him and Mom.

But on President’s Day, February 2003 everything changed. The life I had become accustomed to was turned upside down.”

Storm can't wait for my next book to be published. I told him of a young boy, Sebastian, who is looking forward to reading "The Princess and Storm". Storm you must understand is a 98 pound teddy bear.

The Princess and Storm is now available for sale. You will be able to purchase the book on-line through http://www.authorhouse.com/Bookstore/BookStoreSearchResults.aspx?SearchType=smpl&SearchTerm=J%20W%20Garry%20Jr

It is with deep regret to inform Storm's followers
that Storm passed away August 14th, 2015.
Storm was roughly 14 years old.
He lived for 12 1/2 years with me and my family.
